چکیده

Environmental and climatic fluctuations as well abiotic stress factors affect agricultural production cause a loss in quality yield. It is important to find alternative solutions for the sustainability of feed increasing population. Salt one most devastating tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) also affected by salt since it needs extensive irrigation high The exogenous application some plant inducers showed promising results induction improvement tolerance factors. Chitosan (2-amino-2-deoxy-b-D-glucosamine), organic compounds, getting significant attention agriculture with its potential. Here, we evaluated potential chitosan on tomato. 0.03% 0.05% were applied foliar spray investigated under untreated (0 mM NaCl) 100 NaCl conditions. growth-related (root shoot diameters, above below-ground biomass, number leaves branches, height), photosynthetic parameters (chlorophyll a, b, total carotenoid content), ion leakage investigated. According results, improves development both salt-stress conditions improved growth. Also, that increased chlorophyll contents Our result suggests may have effect further research shed light molecular mechanisms.
